Orphans & Vulnerable Children (OVC) Support
Over 150 children receiving comprehensive support
Our OVC program provides holistic support to orphaned and vulnerable children across Nyeri, Muranga, and Isiolo counties. We understand that children need more than just basic necessities—they need education, healthcare, emotional support, and hope for the future.
What We Provide:
- Educational Support: School fees, uniforms, books, and learning materials
- Healthcare Services: Regular medical check-ups, immunizations, and treatment
- Nutrition Support: Food supplements and nutrition education for caregivers
- Psychosocial Support: Counseling and mentorship programs

HIV/AIDS & TB Interventions
Supporting over 200 community members living with HIV/AIDS and TB
We provide comprehensive care and support for people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHIV) and those affected by tuberculosis. Our approach combines medical care, psychosocial support, and community education to reduce stigma and improve health outcomes.
Program Components:
- Treatment Adherence Support: Medication management and adherence counseling
- Home-Based Care: Regular visits from trained community health volunteers
- Nutritional Support: Food supplements to enhance treatment effectiveness
- Support Groups: Peer support and counseling sessions
- Stigma Reduction: Community sensitization and education campaigns
Disability Support Services

Livelihoods & Economic Empowerment
We believe in building self-reliance through sustainable economic opportunities. Our livelihoods program equips community members with skills, resources, and support to create income-generating activities.
Program Activities:
- Vocational Skills Training: Tailoring, carpentry, hairdressing, and other marketable skills
- Microfinance & Savings Groups: Village savings and loan associations (VSLAs)
- Entrepreneurship Training: Business planning and management skills
- Agricultural Support: Kitchen gardens, poultry farming, and sustainable agriculture
- Market Linkages: Connecting producers with buyers and markets
- Mentorship Programs: Ongoing business coaching and support
Sanitary Pad Distribution & Menstrual Health
Ensuring girls stay in school and maintain their dignity during menstruation
Many girls in our communities miss school days or drop out entirely due to lack of access to sanitary products. Our program addresses this critical need while educating girls and communities about menstrual health and hygiene.
What We Do:
- Monthly distribution of sanitary pads to school girls
- Menstrual health education and hygiene training
- Production of reusable sanitary pads for sustainability
- Construction and improvement of school sanitation facilities
- Community sensitization to reduce stigma
- Empowerment sessions on self-confidence and body positivity
Health Education & Sensitization (HES)
Knowledge is power. Our health education program empowers communities with information and skills to make informed health decisions and adopt healthy behaviors.
Focus Areas:
- Disease Prevention: HIV/AIDS, TB, malaria, and other communicable diseases
- Substance Abuse: Alcohol and drug abuse prevention and rehabilitation support
- Sexual and Reproductive Health: Family planning, maternal health, and safe practices
- Nutrition Education: Balanced diets, food security, and malnutrition prevention
- Mental Health: Awareness, stigma reduction, and access to support services
- Hygiene and Sanitation: Water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) practices
Methods:
We use diverse approaches including community workshops, door-to-door campaigns, school health talks, drama and music groups, and mass media campaigns to reach all community members.
